Intellectuals amaze me. I could say, “felicity means the ability to find the appropriate expression for one’s thoughts,” which paraphrased can mean, “apt, or right, or perfect, or true expression.”
Then they will send me screenshots of the Latin etymology and say, “see? It means luck and good fortune and simple happiness.”
And I will say, “who gives a shit about the etymology? The spiritual essence of the word existed before the world slapped a label on it and the essence it is describing is the expression of truth.”
And they will say, “don’t embarrass yourself.”
And I will say, “Have you ever heard of felicity conditions? Speech act theory? God spoke creation into existence. Perfect expression? The divine creative act? Don’t you think wisdom in Proverbs 8 sounds more like felicity? Wisdom does not delight. It is not joyful nor is it pleasurable.”
And they will say, “Har har har you fool.”
And I will say, “Answer the fucking question you dipshit. Felicity is the ontological completion of the Logos and you morons who think you are defending the truth can’t even recognize it when it is banging in your forehead.”
And then I will call them sadducees, tell them don’t even know their own character in the story the are in and block them because their intellect is bound by the world and they are probably the most boring and spiritually dead people alive.
Maybe I am a little inappropriate in how I speak, which is anti-felicity…but you know what? I’m human. Not divine. Felicity is part of the One that’s divine.
Divine revelation that it is.
